How can I avoid overpaying for airport transfers in Thailand?

My girlfriend and I are planning to travel from Bangkok to Hua Hin for a few days soon. We don't want to carry all our luggage on trains or intercity buses in this crazy heat; it would ruin the start of our vacation. On the other hand, local street taxi drivers immediately switch to "tourist mode" and quote prices that defy logic. Could you tell me how you got there comfortably without overpaying?

Also, how long does the trip take, and is there decent cell service along the way? We’ll need to do some work on our laptops while on the road. Would it be possible to find a car with a spacious trunk? My girlfriend has two large suitcases, so a regular sedan definitely won’t work for us.

When are you planning to go? The peak tourist season there is usually from November to February. I was actually in that area in October, filming a travel vlog for my YouTube. I traveled a lot, and for intercity trips, I booked Thailand transfers from Bangkok straight through GetTransfer. One huge advantage of this platform is that you can choose the car class and price offered by the drivers. The car had air conditioning, and the driver was polite. If you are traveling with a significant other, I highly recommend taking a boat tour through the picturesque Phang Nga Bay for a romantic experience.
